This may sound a bit complex, If you aren’t the most tech-savvy individual which is why we created this simple guide. Learn how to set up an Xbox cloud gaming TV in under ten minutes!
Pre-requisites to start an Xbox cloud gaming TV
A stable Internet connection
You will be playing your games over the internet, therefore having a stable internet connection is a must.
However, you aren’t required to have a gigabit connection or a mandatory fiber line, a 10 Mbps connection is more than sufficient.
But, it’s important to note that this requirement varies on the type of game that you wish to play. For more demanding games and especially those that support multiplayer, higher bandwidth may be required.
A Game Pass Ultimate
Whether you use an Xbox Cloud Gaming LG TV or an Xbox Cloud Gaming Google TV, you are required to own an Xbox Ultimate Game Pass.
At the moment, the Xbox cloud gaming feature is not a standalone service, instead, it comes packaged with the most expensive tier of the Xbox Game Pass. The pass is valued at $16.99 a month.
By purchasing the pass you will also gain access to all of Microsoft’s Game Pass titles, EA Play, exclusive member perks and discounts, and to play new games on the day of their release.
A smart device
The device that you wish to stream to is entirely dependent on you as the consumer. However, the device should be powerful enough to run the Xbox app without lag or delay.
Currently, the Xbox cloud gaming service supports Androids, IOS devices, TVs, and tablets.

How to play on Android Devices
Whether it’s a phone, tablet, or smart TV, all Android interfaces function roughly the same way. You are first required to download the Game Pass application.
Once installed, sign in using the Microsoft account containing your Game Pass. Click on the Cloud tab to view all games that are cloud-compatible.
If you are playing on a touchscreen device, you can only play games that are marked with a finger. All other games require a Bluetooth controller to function.
Once you are done playing, simply quit the game. All your game’s progress is saved across all your devices automatically. In your next gaming session, simply hit “Jump Back In” to start playing from where you left off.
How to play on IOS devices
Apple has made Xbox Cloud Gaming a challenge for iOS users, but it’s not impossible. To play on an iOS device, go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming Website through Chrome or Safari.
If you are using Safari, the browser doesn’t support in-app gaming, therefore you are obligated to create a homescreen shortcut.
The service can be accessed by clicking on the new App that you’ve just created. On Chrome, it’s much simpler, as the browser fully supports in-app gaming, just tilt and play!
There might stutters and lags on IOS devices as you are playing through a browser, which doesn’t have the same level of optimization as the Xbox Game Pass application.
Enjoy!
For the best experience we highly recommend you to start cloud gaming on a smart TV. The bigger screens make everything so much more enjoyable.
However, if you are playing on a smaller touch device instead of an Xbox cloud gaming TV, please customize the buttons to prevent them from inhibiting the screen.
